Where It All Began
Our journey started more than 20 years ago with a simple goal: to give our pets the healthiest lives possible. At the time, high-quality, natural pet food wasn’t available locally in Jackson, TN. So, we made regular trips to Memphis, searching for better options and guidance.
An independent pet store there opened our eyes to what pets really need—not just food, but nutrition. They helped us understand ingredients, labels, and the difference that real, wholesome food could make.
And the results? Incredible. Our pets had shinier coats, less itching, more energy, and a whole new level of happiness. That transformation inspired a lifelong commitment to learning about pet health and sharing that knowledge with others.

Rooted in Family, Fueled by Passion
Licker & Whine Pet Market was founded in April 2015 by the late Jeannine Hill, whose love for animals was more than a passion, it was who she was. She believed every pet deserved care, compassion, and quality, and she built this business around those values.
After her passing in September 2022, her husband Michael carried forward her vision, staying true to the values she built the store upon. In 2025, Michael welcomed his nephew, Corey, into the business, bringing new energy and helping to grow and guide it into the next chapter. While Jeannine is no longer with us, her spirit is still at the heart of everything we do.
